Does chemistry affect things you do every day? The answer is most certainly yes. Perhaps you wear clothes made of synthetic fibers, or natural fibers that have been dyed.The pan you use to cook dinner may have a "nonstick" surface. Or perhaps you use polish remover or hair spray. Each of these actions involves chemistry. How does chemistry make all this possible? Chemistry really have a big effect in our lives. Almost all things that we use in our lives are results of chemistry. The products you eat, the medicines you take to cure your illness are all products of chemistry. The vitamins we take, and the foods we eat are also products of chemistry. Chemistry really have a very big impact to our daily lives. Chemistry deals with matter.

Chemistry is the study of the composition of substances and the changes they undergo. Chemistry contributes to other natural sciences including biolody,geology, and physics. As a chemist, you might do a variety of jobs. You might develop new products, such as medicines or cosmetics. Perhaps you would find methods to reduce pollution or to clean up the environment. As a chemist you could share your knowledge through teaching at any level, analyzing substances, or checking the quality of manufactured products.

Most of these careers use a knowledge of chemistry to attain specific goals. These are examples of applied chemistry, or chemical technology. In applied chemistry,scientific knowledge can be used in ways that either or harm people or the environment. There is also pure chemistry. In pure chemistry, like other pure sciences knowledge is accumulated for its own sake. Pure science is neither good or bad.

Chemistry usually considered ti have five major divisions. With a few exceptions, organic chemistry is the study of essentially all substances containing carbon. Organic chemistry was originally the study of substances from living organisms.Inorganic chemistry largely concerns substances without carbon. These are mainly substances from non living things. Analytical chemistry is a concerned primarily with the composition of substances. Finding minute quantities of a substance in a sample of blood requires the practice if analytical chemistry. Physical chemistry is concerned with theories and experiments that describe the behavior of chemicals. Finally, biochemistry is the the study of the chemistry of living organisms. Obviously,these five subdivisions of chemistry overlap. For example, measuring a change in an organic or inorganic substance requires some skill in analytical chemistry.
